Background Information
Born in the country music hotbed of Eastern Kentucky, Childers first gained renown with his second studio album Purgatory in 2017. He has released six studio albums to date and is known for incorporating social issue commentary into his songs, as with “Long Violent History” and “In Your Love"
Personal Opinion
I enjoy Tyler Childers and his writing of love songs. I love his songs like Space and Time, In Your Love, and All’n Your. I think that really from the age of 15 years up to any age would love his music. His music makes me feel happy and think of the people in my life who I love and care for.
Tyler Childers has many hits off different albums. I personally love Purgatory and Rustin’ in the Rain the most from his albums but Country Squire has my favorite song of his on it. All’n Your is my absolute favorite song of his to listen to and I could listen to it on repeat. The lyrics talk about loving someone till your lungs give out and that he is hers and she is his. It's an amazing song and written beautifully. The piano in the background and his voice match up so well and it just makes me feel so happy.
Sound of His Music
Most of his music is of a slower tempo like something you could slow dance to but there are a few songs like Country Squire that are a little faster and then songs like Rustin’ in the Rain that are much faster than what he normally writes. I love his slower songs a lot more but his faster songs are great too. If you're not one for country or an older-sounding type of music, I don’t recommend listening to Tyler Childers.
Comparison To Other Artists
When compared to other country artists who are quite popular right now he sounds like a much older artist when he has only been producing music since 2017. He has more of an older style compared to the more modern style of someone like Morgan Wallen or Luke Combs.
