How did you hear about Beyond? I heard about Beyond from leaders and friends who had taken sea kayaking and mountaineering trips before.
What are you looking forward to this summer? I'm looking forward to seeing how kids experience a deeper relationship with Jesus through trips at Beyond and getting to play a part in that behind the scenes.
How are you hoping to grow this summer? I am hoping to slow down and be fully present this summer through the rhythms and rituals of Beyond, learning more about Jesus and growing in wonderful community.
What else should sponsors know about you? I got involved in Young Life in middle and high school and made the decision to become a volunteer leader during my sophomore year of college! I have had the pleasure of leading upperclassmen girls at Oconee County High School for the past 2 years. I am so excited to experience more of Young Life's ministry in a completely different setting this summer!
What expenses are you fundraising to cover? Travel from ATL to Vancouver, additional gear needs.
Prayer Requests
For the kids I get to nanny at Beyond! For me to experience childlike wonder with them this summer. For the work we do at Base Camp and the community, that we would learn a lot from each other and serve each other well. That everyone who comes to base camp or takes trips would know Jesus better and take what they learned back home after.
