Dear Spiritual family, It’s hard to believe that we are already in the 3rd month of 2024. Needless to say for many of us the year now officially starts. It is required that we implement or continue to action the visions and plans we made for this year. I am reminded of a saying I heard in Church while I was on University Campus. The Pastor said: “a vision minus a plan minus action equals a pipe dream, and a vision plus a plan minus action equals frustration, but a vision plus a plan plus action equals reality”. In that moment I realized that a vision can become reality when we have made a plan and are acting on it. God desires that we make the visions he gives us reality. “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps” Proverbs 16:9 (ESV).
We believe God has given us clear marching orders as a Every Nation network and local Church family as stated in Matthew 28:19 (ESV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. This is called the Great Commission, though many believers treat it like a great suggestion! Our key focuses are REACH THE LOST AND MAKE DISCIPLES and I invite each one of you to join us in actioning Jesus’ final command to all His disciples (then and now) because He promised that as we do it, He will be with us.
Here is how you can participate in fulfilling Jesus’ commission: Firstly, invite and pray for people in your network to come on the Alpha course journey planned to start on 7 April. Alpha is designed to help “outsiders” understand the Gospel and love of Christ. Secondly, set your alarm for 9:38 am or pm to pray Matthew 9:38. Specifically pray for laborers to be sent (including ourselves), for your VIP list and those you want to invite to the Alpha journey planned in April. As a Church our mission focus this year is our Every Nation East London Church plant with Ps Theam and Natasha Oosthuizen. Join us in serving them through PRAY, GIVE AND GO. Pray for them personally and corporately, Give financially to support the Church plant and Go on the mission planned for 24 May - 3 June. In addition, be encouraged to make disciples by doing the One2One foundations with someone in our community. Our aim is that all our people have strong Biblical foundations and can lay foundations in other's faith journeys.
There you have it, we can make the Great Commission a reality by participating together in these actions! Let’s do it and see how Jesus works with us to reach His lost children and disciple those that are reached. This is the real revolution! - Ps Sergé Solomons
Our Strategic Focus Areas
On Saturday, 3 February, Equilibria School of Life inaugurated our new location in Potchefstroom and welcomed ten gap year students, marking the beginning of another exciting chapter. After hosting the Equilibria programme in Northcliff for two years, we have listened to the overwhelming demand from parents and prospective students who expressed a preference for the varsity town. We have relocated to fulfil this request.
Our launch welcomed enthusiastic students, their families, representatives from various faith communities in Potchefstroom, as well as dedicated supporters of Equilibria’s vision. Equilibria School of Life is a gap year programme with the purpose of assisting students between 18 and 22 years of age, to grow in faith and their personal relationships with Jesus, complete a structured career guidance process to clarify their career choices, and learn a wide range of life skills through theoretical training and practical experiences and adventures.
In 2024 and in addition to our core staff members and exceptional pool of lecturers, we are pleased to welcome a life coach and two pastoral counsellors to the team, offering an even stronger support system for our students. We will further again allocate a mentor to each student to provide a personal and relational safety-net throughout the year.
We draw inspiration from Psalms 127, likening our students to young arrows. Our goal is to equip them with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to hit their individual targets with precision and accuracy. Our training venue serves as a place where young minds are nurtured, hearts are softened, and spirits are sharpened to their fullest potential. We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to witnessing the growth and accomplishments of each of our students. - Nerine Erasmus
On the 3rd of February, EN Randburg in partnership with Men's Wealth, hosted a men breakfast at the Vintage Tower Training and Conference venue in Fairland.
More than 50 men came together to enjoy an impactful morning. The morning was led by Johan Werth and Marius Botha and who spoke about biblical principles of wisdom and how to apply these principles of wisdom in our marriages, in our families, the marketplace and in everyday life. Marius shared great truths and he used a rugby game to illustrate the principals of wisdom.
As men, we had a great time of fellowship together. We were challenged, encouraged and inspired. We had an incredible time together as men, men from all different church denominations attended. We trust that deep relationships were initiated and that we as men will disciple each other, and keep each other accountable to draw us closer to who Jesus called us to be. - Johan Werth
On the 18th of February, Every Nation Randburg Worship shared an inspiring vision that resonated deeply with the community. Pastor Serge's message on sonship, identity, and worshiping from a place of acceptance was impactful, setting the tone for the afternoon. The gathering was marked by the sharing of prophetic words that created a sense of anticipation for the upcoming season. The prospect of new members joining the worship team and the promise of a fresh, innovative sound filled everyone with excitement. There was a collective belief that this new sound, inspired by the younger generation, would have a transformative impact on the city streets. The heartfelt appreciation for each member and the keen anticipation of how God would work through them underpinned the gathering's sense of unity and purpose.
The day also served as an opportunity for building and nurturing relationships within the community. Moreover, the belief that God is orchestrating something remarkable within the Every Nation global family of churches, particularly through impactful songwriting, was a prevailing theme. The songs penned by members of Every Nation Randburg Worship will gain global reach, and will touch lives across the world. This has instilled a sense of hope and expectation for further growth and influence within the team and the wider body of Christ.
Looking ahead, plans are underway to organize a writers' weekend in the upcoming year. This event aims to foster collaboration and creativity within our community, with the goal of capturing live worship sessions for release. - Sumari Schoeman
On the 25th of February, we had our Commissioning Sunday service, where we came together to celebrate and commission four of our ENR leaders who are stepping into their Kingdom assignments. It was an incredible moment of agreement with the Lord's plans for their lives.
First, we commissioned Marnè for her impactful ministry, Inarah Ministries. We also commissioned Johan, who will now be stepping fully into leading men, through his Men's Wealth Ministry. Lastly, we commissioned Ian and Nerine Erasmus, who have been working tirelessly with youth, particularly through Equilibria School of Life.
Commissioning these leaders was our way of expressing our acknowledgement and agreement with what God is doing in their lives. We are excited to see how their God-given assignments will continue to impact our church and community. Let's keep them in our prayers and rally behind them as they fully step into their kingdom assignments.
