After we arrived with 24 hours delay on Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 we are now enjoying the sojourn on Mauritius 😎
Our Flight from Zürich to Istanbul was delayed for approx. 1 hour. So far so good. But after almost 3 hours flight time and some rounds across Istanbul the Aircraft turned for refueling to Izmir. This took another hour or even longer until final take off direction Istanbul. Finally we arrived after approx 7 hours (with 4 hours delay against the schedule) at Istanbul Airport and missed the connecting flight.
After landing we learned that approx 16 other flights arrived more or less with same delay due to unknown reason which resulted that we had to queue for approx 3 hours at the transfer desk to get our new boarding passes for the next flight to Mauritius one day later. To get the Hotel voucher we had again to queue at the Hotel transfer desk for another hour after immigration. On around 7am we have been transferred to a Hotel in Istanbul Center to wait until 11pm for transfer back to the Airport to catch next flight to MRU!

The Food in the Hotel and outside is very tasty. Specially we enjoyed the evening in the Japanese Restaurant in the Hotel👌👌👌👌
