Our vision for reaching college students began at the University of Kentucky! Both of us were freshmen when God changed our lives. We’re passionate about reaching students who are just like we once were: figuring out who they are, what they believe, and how they will influence others and make an impact in the world.
Our journey working with Cru started with Kevin serving part-time at UK and Jen interning for a year in Central Asia. God used these experiences to call us into full-time ministry with Cru. We got married in 2014 and prepared to be sent out as missionaries!
In 2015 we moved to Greenville, NC to work at East Carolina University. Over the past 10 years we have seen God do some amazing things! He loves and pursues university students.
This summer we took a step of faith and moved to Charlotte, NC to continue in campus ministry! Kevin is leading the Charlotte Metro Cru team, which is currently Jen and one other full-time staff, Justin. Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and one of the most diverse. We are so grateful for this opportunity to reach this larger scope...think of all the lost college students that we could introduce to Jesus, build up in their faith, and send out to further God's Kingdom throughout the world!
College students are searching for truth. The university will promote many different versions of the truth and it’s up to them to decide what they believe. We've found that students are very open to having spiritual conversations. Most have heard of Jesus but have many misconceptions about Him. We get to help them see who Jesus really is!
We help students go deeper in their relationship with Christ. Most college students we meet have never studied the Bible. We teach them how in one-on-one discipleship and small groups. In this community, they learn how Jesus affects every area of life.
A few days at our conferences and retreats can make a lifetime of impact! Students are challenged to take risks and to trust God with their past, present, and future. We ask students to consider going on Summer Mission, stateside or overseas, all with a focus on learning to share Christ! Wherever they have influence on campus, we want them to be confident in sharing their faith.
We’ve loved serving on Summer Missions in the states and overseas. We had the privilege of leading two summer teams to the Middle East where many had never heard the truth about Jesus. It’s amazing that we get to take the gospel to the world!
Our work is finished when we see students graduate and we send them into a lifetime of ministry. These graduates are the next generation of spiritual leaders!
