The College of DuPage Photography program is proud to announce the third publication of their photo annual magazine, Emulsion & Noise!
Volume 3 will continue to spotlight the exceptional student photography produced in any PHOTO-xxxx course during the academic year between summer 2025 and spring 2026.
The print run of the magazine is scheduled for the summer of 2026 and will be available for free distribution in the fall to any student with work selected for it. Submissions are open to all film and digital works for any student taking a PHOTO course.
The magazine cover will be chosen from works produce by the student selected as the winner of the Best Portfolio from the spring 2026 PHOTO 2750 Capstone Portfolio course.
Each photographer who has work selected for publication will receive a copy of the magazine at no charge.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
This call is open to any film or digital photographs that had been taken as part of a Photography [PHOTO] course at the College of DuPage between the summer 2025 and spring 2026 semesters [up to May 22nd]. All photos must have been created by the maker, no stock or AI generated images will be allowed, but minimally AI assisted images are fine.
Please submit up to 10 photos according to the requirements listed below. Files that do not meet these requirements will not be considered for publication.
*Folders that are created by students can have any, or all work swapped out until the deadline date any anytime up until the deadline, students may swap out newer work for previously submitted images. This is being offered to motivate students to submit work immediately.

High Quality JPG. Do not resize. Low resolution photos will not be considered.
File Name:
IMPORTANT!!! Please use the COD naming convention [full name and class]. This is a very important step to assist in image placement and archiving. Click this link for an instruction video on Creating Naming Presets in Lightroom Classic.
File Size:
Original image resolution @ 240 [LrC] - 300 [PS/C1] ppi. It is okay to crop photos, but please do not save at low quality or change image resolution or document sizes.

It is suggested that you do not hold off until the last minute, as this increases the chances that you may forget, or not have the time to submit at the end of the call. You can always swap photos out of your folder until the deadline on May 22nd.
Please ensure that all submitted images are in focus. Edit and sharpen all photos prior to submission.
