I chose the Ferris wheel, colorful flags, and popcorn theme because it fit my background experience. For many years, I have been a professional entertainer. My specific entertainment is that of a magician and balloon artist. Seeing the excitement, anticipation, and applause has kept me performing a long time. With my tools of trickery, sleight of hand, and balloon artistry I have entertained crowds from children to senior citizens. In every performance, you are weaving a story for those you are entertaining. What does this have to do with spiritual blogging, social media, dreams, journaling, or AI you ask? Well, keep reading to find out....
While some use chatGPT and AI to quickly generate blogs, ebooks, and content to publish online to profit, I see a different perspective. Developing content to help people grow in their personal, professional, and spiritual life should be thoughtful, prayerful, and have a meaningful impact. I am learning to write more precisely, with intention rather than just putting words on a page. Instead of writing just for algorithms, I see another person on the other side of my screen. AI can help provide tools to make life more efficient, but remembering that building personal connections with people is the key in this digital age. People value character, content that is trustworthy & relevant, and lasting relationships. We see this in every aspect of life today from companies, churches, non-profit organizations, community groups, and the list goes on,
Artificial intelligence is a great tool to help in researching and creating content, but understanding how to skillfully use it in our digital world is important.
By skillful, I mean being creative in crafting your own ideas and then letting AI help you with content that you can then research for accuracy. When asking AI for help, it is imperative that you provide detail and specific instructions about your goals. AI will only extract the content from the internet to match your request, based on the detail of the question that you ask.
The more general the question posed to AI, the more general of answers will be provided. The more thoughtful, detailed, and specific the question, the more complex answer will be provided by AI. Then, you must check the references, citations, links, and information to verify accuracy.
Recently, I began using an online platform that builds video content. I was looking for a tool to help me in creating my blogs. This online platform uses AI to construct a video from the script, imagers, or content you provide it. While experimenting building video content, I realized the more specific my content description is, the better results I attain. I'm glad there are content building resources out there, but respecting the work of others without plagiarism and copyright is crucial.
For this reason, copywright and legal laws are in place to help protect images, video, music, and other forms of content development. Through this online video platform, I have not seen anything that would lead to copywright violations, but because of my studies at FullSail, I am more aware of this. AI will continue advancing and becoming more innovative. I believe it is necessary to be more aware of the content we interact with and use.
For the past year, I have been working on building a blog website focused on dreams and dream interpretation from a Biblical perspective. I began this effort because of my own personal dreams I believe were from God. I have used AI to help me brainstorm ideas for the type of audience, demographics, website & business structure, as well as SEO & keyword titles.
AI can help look up Bible scriptures, Greek-Hebrew text, compare stories, create video scripts, and write code for you. Although AI has been a great additional tool to help with this overall project, it doesn't negate the need for a personal touch. What makes my blog different, that AI cannot reproduce or regurgitate, is my personality, experience, values, beliefs and story. This is what makes me and my blog relatable to others and hopefully builds long-term relationships.
I plan to continue using AI in the future, whether for my blog, career, business, or just personal. I believe that AI can be an incredibly useful source, if used properly. Remembering to use AI skilfully, by providing detailed instructions, avoiding copyright, and plagiarism, will help everyone achieve their future goals.
At the beginning of this blog, I started by sharing my experiences as a professional magician and entertainer. In the entertainment business, one must capture and keep the audience's attention. Keeping the attention of the audience is done with a well crafted opening, compelling tricks, thoughtful misdirection, engaging music, and finish that leaves the crowd wanting more. All of this combined is the story.
My performances were often done to music, with colorful scarfs, umbrellas, rope, and other mysterious items. Seeing the audience engaged in the performance, and anticipating what I would do next, brought me much joy.
When I started my blog/website, I began journaling about dreams that would come to me in the night. I would make an attempt at trying to write about the story I had seen in my head. Sometimes parts of those stories, or even the whole story, would happen in waking life. That led me to research why I was having these dreams. In the Bible, God spoke to many people in dreams and visions.
Dreams are stories, images, and visuals that come to you in the night much like a movie on a screen. My blog website is a thoughtful and prayerful collection of dreams that I believe God has given me. To understand why I believe they are from God, visit HeSpeaksMedia to learn about me and my dream journey.
In a professional writing course, my instructor encouraged me to be concise and to the point. I was told to choose my words carefully. That is often challenging for me because I enjoy telling a story.
The performer in me wants to be in front of a crowd and weave a story for them to believe. The same holds true in dreams. Dreams are a collection of information woven into a story. When the story unfolds, it comes to life bringing meaning and purpose to the dreamer and others.
During the professional writing course, the message my instructor suggested of being concise and to the point, meant a lot to me. Going from performing on a stage to journaling my dreams into a story online, is quite a shift. Learning to choose words more carefully, incorporate AI where possible, and weave my story into something that will help others is my goal.
As I continue to grow in my writing skills, my hope is that you can see my progress and learn how AI can be a useful tool to use. You can read some of the dreams that God revealed to me, in my blog called The Dreamer Blog. Just click the link below.
