Department Key Awards
Each year, departments have the opportunity to award Department Keys, for both Outstanding Performance and for Academic Excellence. Recipients have taken three or more classes within the department, with preference given to juniors and seniors. For Academic Excellence, the student has earned the highest department average. For Outstanding Performance, students should possess many of the following traits: congeniality, conscientiousness, cooperation, courtesy, determination, ingenuity, leadership, reliability, resourcefulness, self-motivation, and trustworthiness.
