Work experience for Year 10 students in our community

Last week at Mullumbimby High School, it really was excellence on show. Our Year 10s were out and about in our community, making the most of their opportunities for work experience. Thank you to all in our community who supported our Year 10 students and gave them a supportive experience to try a career of their choice.

University Tour

Our Year 11 Students had the opportunity to try uni life when they went on a tour of the QLD universities. Students enjoyed guided tours and exploring Southern Cross University, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), University of Queensland (UQ) and Bond University. They enjoyed the overnight stay at Leo College. Always an inspiring excursion for of HSC cohort coming to the end of their first term of HSC study.

Carols by the River

Some of our very talented musicians performed at Carols by the River, sharing their beautiful voices with our local community. While other students helped out on the BBQ. Thankfully the rain held off and it was a great community event.

Movember fundraising

Our Movember Mobros were able to raise more than $1,120 with their efforts and the fundraising continues https://movember.com/m/mullumhighmos?mc=1

Sports Excellence

Year 7 Sports Excellence students have rounded up the year with a series of challenges that included a sprint training focused boot camp, sports nutrition sessions and finally a trek on the Minyon Falls track. Students have made excellent progress this year in this program for High Potential sports people.

Year 6 to 7 Orientation Day

We were thrilled to host our incoming year 7 students from our partner primary schools for their orientation day. We have a great group of students all ready to begin their high school journey and a wonderful group of staff so excited to support them next year.

Thank you!

All of these events and experiences are not possible without the incredible dedication and support of our school staff. Thank you to all our staff who go above and beyond, give up time with their families and go boots in for our students so that they can have these amazing cocurricular experiences.

What's coming up in the next two weeks...

Coming up this week, we have The Marine Studies, Catch a Crab Industry Experience, The Year 10 Formal on Wednesday and our Year 7-10 Presentation Assembly on Friday 12 December. In week 10, on Monday we have our Student Recognition events. These events recognize our students' dedication to consistency and our core values of respect, responsibility and learning.
