The Legacy of Jim Parady LONGEST TENTURED DIVISION I HEAD FOOTBALL COACH ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Jim Parady's association at Marist College lasted 33 years, from 1991-2023. He joined the Marist football program as offensive coordinator in 1991, was promoted to head coach in 1992, and was the longest tenured head coach in Division I football at the time of his retirement.

Parady led Marist from the Division III ranks to Division I-AA (FCS) in 1993, and to the MAAC Football League in 1994. The Red Foxes won their first MAAC title in 1994, and enjoyed seven straight winning seasons from 1994-2000.

Marist added MAAC championships in 2006 & 2007.

In 2009, Marist made the jump to the Pioneer Football League.

The Red Foxes won a share of the PFL title in 2013, and set the program's Division I record for wins with eight.

Parady's head coaching career concludes with 155 wins, 88 First Team All-League selections, eight major award winners, four FCS Academic All-Stars, and two players who appeared in NFL games (Terrence Fede & Jason Myers).

The true measure of Coach Parady extends far beyond the numbers. He was defined by his class, integrity, and selflessness.

"I am proud of what we accomplished at Marist. I am grateful to all the great student-athletes I've had the chance to work with. It has been incredible to see them in their life after graduation and seeing them as husbands, fathers, having successful professional careers, and giving back to Marist and their own communities. I will always cherish my time leading this program. I'd also like to thank all the fantastic administration and staff I've worked with who help make Marist a special place, and I wish them success moving forward." - Jim Parady
