Aiming to win the first Euro in history

Jesse Lingard is also cheering for the English national team in South Korea.

FC Seoul came from behind to beat Daejeon Hana Citizen 2-1 in the 22nd round of the "Hana Bank K League 1 2024" held at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th at Seoul World Cup Stadium. Seoul ranked sixth and Daejeon fell to 12th. 15,037 spectators visited the stadium.

Lingard, who led the team to victory by scoring a come-from-behind goal, appeared at the press conference as he was named a coach. While delivering his impressions, Lingard was asked questions about the English national team. The question came as the semifinals of the UEFA Euro 2024 between England and the Netherlands were held at 4 a.m. the day after the match.

Lingard is a former member of the Manchester United national team that played 32 matches for England. Since 2015, he has played 32 matches and scored six goals. He was selected by Gareth Southgate, the current head of England, to play for the 2018 FIFA Russia World Cup. He also has a World Cup scoring record by scoring a goal in the second group match.

This is not the end. He scored a goal for Dele Alli in the quarterfinals. He also played in the match against Croatia in the semifinals. England beat Belgium in the third and fourth places to reach the final third place. Since then, Lingard appeared in the UEFA Nations League in the 2018-19 season and also played in the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying round. He was excluded from the final list for Euro 2020.

After leaving Manchester United for Nottingham Forest, he has become far from the English national team. He later moved to Seoul, a member of the K League 1. Lingard, who is actively playing in Seoul, is known to watch England consistently every game. Although the game takes place at dawn due to different time differences, Lingard is sincere in cheering for him.

"I can't sleep well after the game, so I'm going to watch the England game," Lingard said with a smile. Amid the cheering for Lingard, England reached the final by garnering a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Netherlands. They will meet Spain in the final and try to win their first Euro title ever. The match will take place at 4 a.m. on Saturday in Korean time. Lingard will rest after the Ulsan HD match and cheer for England again. 토토사이트 모음
