Dear Bluejay Family,
We remain fully committed to the safety of every child and adult on our campus and ask for your continued prayers as we move forward. While an officer was present on campus during this week's school Mass, some of you were understandably concerned that visible foot patrol was not part of that presence. I have been advised that this has been addressed and should be corrected going forward.
I must reiterate, however, that our partnership with the Broussard Police Department for extra patrols was always intended as a short-term measure, not a permanent solution. This time allows us to design a long-term plan that is reasonable (strengthening safety without creating fear or diminishing our culture), realistic (supported by sustainable funding), and rational (grounded in best practices and thoughtful discernment).
To shape this plan, we began preparing a campus security survey several weeks ago and launched it this week after research, consultation, and discussions on actual costs. Your feedback will help ensure our plan reflects the needs and wisdom of the entire St. Cecilia community. The survey was emailed to parents last week, and responses are due by Wednesday, September 24, at noon.
Grace & Peace,
Erin B. Henry
Principal

Grandparents' DAy rsvp
Grandparents' Day at SCS will be October 24. More details will come when we get closer but we need your assistance now. Please communicate with your child(ren)'s grandparents and complete this RSVP form. It is more efficient for us if you can complete for ALL grandparents on one form.
For those who have been here for awhile you will notice a few changes in times and locations for PreK/K/1st grade. We are striving to make the morning even more meaningful and intimate, as well as safe, for our littlest Bluejays.

Review your child's gradebook
Please review your child's grades and work torwards completing missing ("M") assignments or assessments in their gradebook. Look over your teacher's policies to see the best way to make up the grade. Right now it calculates as a 0 in the gradebook to show you what is would look like when the report cards are finalized with an assignment/assessment that was not completed.
AR and Service Hours Due
Please check in with your child on their AR and service hours. We are 3 weeks until the close of the quarter. It would be a great time to make a plan of success for them that is an appropaite pace to aquire the last bit they need.
