The air at Bal Bhavan Public School was electrified with excitement as KHEL-O-MANIA 2023, the much-anticipated annual sports day celebration, unfolded over two exhilarating days. The distinguished Chief Guests for Day One were the esteemed Dr. Ishwar Basvaraddi and Mr. Yogesh Pal Singh, adding an aura of prestige to the primary wing festivities.

Day One, dedicated to our vibrant primary wing students, witnessed a kaleidoscope of sportsmanship and talent. The young athletes showcased their prowess in various events, leaving everyone awe-inspired. Dr. Ishwar Basvaraddi and Mr. Yogesh Pal Singh graced the occasion, motivating and inspiring our budding sports enthusiasts.

The fervor continued on Day Two with the honorable presence of Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Tiwari Ji, Member of Parliament, the illustrious Mr. Surendra Sandhu Ji and Mr. Devender Kumar. This day was dedicated to the spirited students of classes 6th to 12th, who exhibited unparalleled sportsmanship and charisma. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as athletes participated in an array of events, demonstrating their prowess and team spirit.

DELHI STATE REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

On the grand occasion of India's 75th Republic Day, Bal Bhavan Public School witnessed a momentous event as our students presented a dance performance at the prestigious Chhatrasal Stadium as part of the Delhi State Republic Day Celebrations. It was a day filled with pride, enthusiasm, and a sense of national spirit. The atmosphere was electric, charged with the fervor of celebration and pride. The enthusiasm and zeal of our students were palpable throughout the event. Their faces beamed with joy and pride as they showcased their talents on such a prestigious platform. It was not just a performance for them; it was an opportunity to honor their nation and its glorious history. Their dedication and commitment reflected their deep-rooted love for their country and its values.

Bal Bhavan Public School proudly sent 40 students, led by the esteemed School Principal and three teachers, to participate in the prestigious Pariksha Pe Charcha conference at Bharat Mandpam, Delhi. Among the participants, Samarth from Grade VI and Sharanya Bisht from Grade XII showcased their remarkable talents on a national platform. Samarth's representation of India's Sporting Achievements and interaction with the Honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji was a moment of pride for the school community.

The event also witnessed the mesmerizing performance of Sharanya Bisht, a talented Grade XII student and winner of the National Level Kala Utsav competition. Her classical dance performance at the grand opening ceremony of Pariksha Pe Charcha captivated the audience, setting the stage for an inspiring event.

In addition to this, approximately 500 students, accompanied by their dedicated teachers, immersed themselves in the live telecast of the Pariksha Pe Charcha conference with the Honorable Prime Minister of India. This extraordinary gathering offered students a profound opportunity to engage with the Prime Minister's insightful discussions on examinations, stress management, and overall well-being.

As the conference unfolded on screen, students absorbed invaluable insights, gaining perspectives on handling academic pressures while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The event proved to be a significant learning experience, instilling inspiration and motivation among attendees as they navigate the challenges of academic life.

The Pariksha Pe Charcha conference viewing was a resounding success, reinforcing Bal Bhavan Public School's commitment to holistic education and the overall growth and development of its students.

The arena of Bal Bhavan Public School Was brimming with excitement as we got the effervescent opportunity to indulge in an invigorating interaction and were graced by the eminent presence of Mr. Tashi Namgyal, Director, Ministry of Education, Bhutan and Mr Sherman Phuntshok,Chief Program Officer,Ministry of Education, Bhutan, accompanied by Mr.Prashant from UNESCO.

In-depth discussions unfold as they explore the nuances of our school's health and wellness program, paving the way for cross-cultural understanding and inspiration.

The visit was aimed at starting an open dialogue and discussing the practices aimed at School Health and WellBeing and how it is being elevated in the school. Our respected Principal Mr Vividh Gupta begin the discussion and allowed the guests to delve into the intricacies of our school's pioneering health and wellness initiatives. Following this, the club incharges too got the distinctive opportunity to share and talk about the working of their respective clubs. The eminent guests brought a unique perspective to the table, engaging with our school community in fruitful discussions. They shared their wisdom, practices and experiences while delving into the holistic approach of our school's health and wellness program.

ELECTION AWARENESS WORKSHOP

The Legal Literacy Club of Bal Bhavan Public School, in collaboration with the Social Science Department organized a workshop on Election Awareness in India on 1 February 2024. The students of class VIII, IX and XI were sensitised about the franchise of vote.

Shri Puneet Kumar Patel, the Additional District Magistrate, East Delhi was the Chief Guest for the event. Along with him, Ms Anita Chawla, the AERO and Mr Deep Chandra Joshi, an IT Assisstant with Election Regulatory Board addressed the students and told them about the Electoral process and the importance of voting.

The students of Bal Bhavan presented a short cultural programme in the form of a song, a poem and a Street Play. The students of Class VI to VIII also celebrated National Voter’s Day by participating in several activities conducted on the same theme. Students were given hands-on voting experience through mock EVM and VVPAT machines.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Bal Bhavan Public School celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day, the day of national rejoicing and a red letter day of our country with great eclat and patriotic fervor. Keeping the spirit of patriotism alive, the students of VII Block presented its special assembly concurrent with this year's theme of Nari Shakti.

From unfurling the National Flag, to a ceremonious tableux depicting the progressive women of India, patriotic recitals, and a spectacular dance performance the event ignited the spark of nationalism with every individual. The students exhibited their power and their commitment towards their country ton this special occasion.

The entire school rejoiced in the glory of the nation and felt proud of its rich cultural heritage and the ethos of 'Republic Day' reverberated in the corridors of the school premises.

हमारा संविधान हमारा स्वाभिमान, भारत का गौरव भारत की पहचान |

गणतंत्र दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर कक्षा दूसरी से पाँचवीं के छात्रों ने मिलकर प्रार्थना सभा प्रस्तुत की | जिसमें छात्रों ने नुक्कड़ नाटक के माध्यम से भारतीय संविधान के बारे में जागरूक किया तथा भाषण, कविता तथा सुंदर नृत्य के माध्यम से भारत देश के विकास में संविधान और नारी शक्ति के महत्व को समझाया | देश भक्ति गीत के माद्यम से देश के वीरों बलिदानियों को याद किया | इस प्रार्थना सभा का मुख्य उद्देश्य सबको यह संदेश देना था कि हमें अपने भारतीय संविधान का सम्मान करना चाहिए |

COMPETENCY-BASED LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP

Bal Bhavan Public School took a significant step forward in educational innovation by hosting the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) on January 30th and 31st, 2024. The event provided a platform for educators to delve into the transformative realm of competency-based assessment, with a specific focus on its application in the fields of English and Social Science.

The program, aimed to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement competency-based assessment strategies effectively. Attendees included educators from various schools across the region, all eager to explore the latest trends and best practices in educational assessment.

Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in interactive workshops, discussions, and presentations led by experts in the field. Sessions covered a wide range of topics, including understanding the principles of competency-based assessment, designing authentic assessments, and integrating technology for enhanced learning outcomes. Attendees had the opportunity to develop assessment frameworks tailored to the English and Social Science curricula, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines and educational standards.

THE ARMED FORCES FLAG DAY

“A nation is not just defined by its borders; it's woven from the threads of unity, diversity, and shared dreams. Together, we forge a tapestry of resilience and progress”

The class assembly of VF was a poignant tribute to our nation's heroes as students came together to commemorate Armed Forces Flag Day. The assembly commenced with the unfurling of the national flag, symbolizing the unity and pride that binds our diverse nation. This set the tone for an emotional, yet empowering session dedicated to our armed forces. The highlight of the assembly was a captivating mime performance by students, skillfully portraying the sacrifices and challenges faced by our soldiers. Through their silent expressions, the students conveyed the resilience, bravery, and selflessness embedded in the hearts of those who protect our borders. The mime aimed to evoke a sense of pride and respect among the students, fostering a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by the armed forces.

SPACE EXPLORERS

"The child can be the next astronaut, astronomer, explorer, or scientist.”

The Space Explorers workshop took place on December 18, 2023, for students from classes I to VIII.

Fun exercises that emphasized group activities and allowed students to interact in an informal setting were used to deliver the session. They designed an environment where students could learn about science, astronomy, geography, physics, history, and other topics through activities, hands-on learning, and experimentation.

There were many good presentations during the event. Students had the opportunity to view Jupiter, Saturn, and the Moon through a telescope following the presentation. They were all eager to see the same thing.

After the program, each student was given a session-based kit, an astronomy booklet, and a participation certificate.

मृदा दिवस

मिट्टी हमारे जीवन का महत्वपूर्ण तत्व है,

मिट्टी का संरक्षण हम सबका कर्तव्य है |

कक्षा पाँचवी के छात्रों ने 5 दिसम्बर को ‘विश्व मृदा दिवस’ के अवसर पर प्रार्थना सभा का आयोजन किया | छात्रों ने प्रार्थना सभा के द्वारा सभी को मिट्टी की गुणवत्ता के बारे में समझाया तथा इसके महत्व के बारे में भी जागरूक किया | विद्यार्थियों ने कविता वाचन तथा नृत्य के माध्यम से मिट्टी को संरक्षित करने का संदेश दिया | इस प्रार्थना सभा का मुख्य उद्देश्य पृथ्वी पर जीवन को बनाए रखने में मिट्टी की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर प्रकाश डालना था ताकि सब इस अमूल्य संसाधन को संरक्षित रखें |

‘वीर बाल दिवस’

“साहिबजादों की कुर्बानी, कैसे कोई भुलाएगा, दशमेश पिता के वंशज का ऋण, कैसे कोई चुकाएगा ।

देश प्रेम की खातिर, जिसने वार दिए सुत चार, बौना दिखता जिसके आगे, हिमगिरि का पहाड़ ।”

बाल भवन पब्लिक स्कूल में गुरु गोविन्द सिंह के चार साहिबजादों के बलिदान को सम्मान देने के लिए ‘वीर बाल दिवस’ मनाया गया | छोटे साहिबज़ादों की शहादत को याद करते हुए, कक्षा नर्सरी से बारहवीं के छात्रों को फिल्म दिखाई गई | जिसके माध्यम से सभी छात्रों को गुरु गोविन्द सिंह के चार साहिबजादों की वीरता और बलिदान की जानकारी दी गई तथा छात्रों को वीरता, मानव कल्याण एवं देश प्रेम की भावना रखने की प्रेरणा मिली | फिल्म से सबंधित क्विज करवाया गया । सभी छात्रों नें आत्मविश्वास के साथ क्विज़ सम्पन्न किया | ‘वीर बाल दिवस’ के माध्यम से सबने राष्ट्र निर्माण के लिए योगदान एवं वीरता से हर परिस्थिति का सामना करने की सीख ली |

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

“The Youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow.”

January 12th, the birthday of the influential thinker and spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda, is celebrated as National Youth Day. In honour of this day, Bal Bhavanites were taught about the life history of Swami Vivekananda Ji. They were also enlightened with the major teachings of swami Vivekananda. This was followed by a short video story which was based on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. As the students were filled with energy and positivity, they were engaged in various activities such as making bookmarks and doing story mapping based on the teachings of swami Vivekananda which instilled in them virtues like purity, patience, and perseverance.

ROAD SAFETY

“Safety first, Safe Always.”

The students of class Nursery to V participated in various activities to mark the Road safety week from 11th to 17th January. Class Nursery and kg celebrated Beep Beep day under which they learnt about the importance of safety gears, traffic lights, zebra crossing and a lot more. Students of class I and II, celebrated Bright day under which they conducted the activity be bright be seen. They explained the importance of wearing bright colors on the road. And then they played a game based on their understanding of the bright colors online. The classes III-V conducted different activities to mark the week like slogan writing, road safety sign album making and the road safety journal making.
