Art Exhibition Coming!

The Art department has an upcoming Art Exhibit at the AISD Center for Visual and Perfoming Arts. Come celebrate our students' work!!  The event is February 17th from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Due to school closures caused by the winter storm last month, Monday, March 23, 2026, will now be a regular instructional day for all students and staff at all campuses and departments. February 16, 2025 will remain a student/staff holiday as planned. This day was originally designated as a bad weather make-up day in our Board adopted calendar for the 2025-2026 school year. Every instructional day matters, and each one plays an important role in student learning and progress. After weather-related closures, it is important for us to thoughtfully restore as much classroom time as possible, so students remain on track academically. We understand calendar changes impact family schedules, and we do not make these decisions lightly. Our goal is to be proactive, transparent, and respectful by announcing this change more than six weeks in advance. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to support the academic growth of our students.

SAVE THE DATE

You are formally invited to te you to Gunn’s Black History Month celebration, Rhythms of Heritage, on Friday, Feb. 27th, from 6:00–8:00 PM. This celebration will showcase African-American culture through performances and will feature black-owned entrepreneurs as vendors.

As we plan this special event, we are seeking black-owned businesses and performers to showcase their talents and/or products. We are interested in all types of vendors, HBCUs, and performances connected to black culture.

Please share this link with anyone who may be interested in participating.

PARENTS, WE NEED YOU !!
