UNITY is a collaborative initiative among health, education, and social service organizations dedicated to strengthening protective factors among families in Central Pennsylvania. Through a Community of Practice, organizations share their skills, resources, and programs for the upstream prevention of child maltreatment. UNITY aims to create safer and healthier environments for children and their families.
Our work focuses on:
• Raising awareness about the signs and prevention of child abuse
• Engaging families with evidence-based programs, resources, and systems
• Reducing stressors that can lead to unsafe situations
• Building partnerships that promote resilience, safety, and well-being
At UNITY, we believe that preventing child maltreatment is not the responsibility of one person or one organization—it’s a collective effort. By working together, we can protect children, support families, and build communities where every family and child have the opportunity to thrive.
