When David really messed up, he wrote these words. When we mess up, we can pray these words too. Jesus hears us and promises to forgive. Our sins our washed away. God makes us clean.

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
