Anthony Boston was born in approximately 1744 in Newburyport, MA. His exact birth date is no longer known. He was described as being 5’8 with a black complexion and black eyes.

Anthony Boston enlisted on June 15th, 1778 in Private Captain Amasa Soper's company under Colonel Thomas Marshall's regiment. Three days later, he fought at Fishkill where he was reported ill. Overall, Boston served from nine months until February, 1779.

It is unknown if Anthony Boston married or had children, as birth or marriage records for people of color during this time period were not often saved. He died on April 29th, 1802 in Newburyport, MA.
