I am a practitioner of Sikhism. Sikhism is a culture that practices showing kindness to others and working to improve yourself. One of the older stereotypes of people who practice Sikhism is that they are a violent group of people. This could not be further from the truth as kindness is greatly emphasized and being rude is seen very negatively. This has, however, started to change in recent years as people have started understanding that we are a selfless and very helpful group of people.
