Aldavilla Primary School Together We Learn and Achieve

Principal's Message

Happy Mother’s Day to all! Students enjoyed purchasing their goodies from the P&C Mother’s Day Stall. Thank you to all the volunteers who supported the day. Term 2 is well underway, and preparations for the Stage 2 and Stage 3 camps are being finalised.

We were proud to be named Champion School at the Kempsey Show in 2024. Many of our students competed in various disciplines across the show and achieved top honours. Congratulations to all our students who participated!

Our students proudly represented Aldavilla PS at the ANZAC Day March on 25 April. Layla and Nevaeh laid our wreath. Students participated in a short service at the commencement of this term.

At the end of last term, we applied for a Coastline Credit Union Grant, ‘Plastic vs. Planet’. We are pleased to announce that we were successful in achieving this grant. A huge thank you to Mrs Dufty and Miss Kristel for supporting this application.

Congratulations to all of our Cross Country participants, and those that competed at the Lower North Coast Cross Country on Monday. Special mention to Riley F who has progressed through to the North Coast Cross Country to be held at Nana Glen.

Mason S also competed at the State Swimming Championships. This is an outstanding achievement!

Label School Uniforms

Thank you to all parents for your support with our school uniform and hats. As the cooler seasons approach, please ensure your child wears a black jumper to school. Please ensure your child’s name is clearly written on your child’s hat/jacket. With your support, our school students will continue to look great.

COVID-smart measure reminders

Our COVID-smart measures reduce the transmission risk of respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19, at APS. By maintaining good hygiene at home and work, we can all minimise the spread of these illnesses. Our baseline measures continue to help reduce the risk of transmission among students and staff.

Please be reminded to:

• stay home if unwell, and not return until symptom-free.

• practice good hygiene by washing hands often.

• Make sure COVID-19 vaccinations are up to date.

Participation in the AEDC is voluntary; however, the AEDC relies on all schools with children in their first year of full-time school participating in the collection. Parents/carers don’t need to take any action unless they choose not to include their children in the census.
