Dear Aviators,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! As your principal, I am thrilled to see all of you, our incredible CVHS crew members, ready to embark on new adventures and achieve great things.
This year's theme is: *It's not the plane, it's the pilot.* This theme reminds us that our success is driven by our dedication, effort, and determination. As Aviators, we are part of an amazing team that supports and uplifts each other, and I know we will all excel by embracing this mindset.
At Cedar Valley High School, we take pride in providing outstanding opportunities. Our school offers two associate degrees and a general Education certificate right here on campus. By enrolling in these concurrent enrollment classes, you will learn credits that count towards both your high school diploma and a degree from Utah Valley University.
In addition, we offer AP (Advanced Placement) classes. This remarkable opportunity can save you thousands of dollars and give you a head start on your higher education journey.
We also have the largest aviation program in the state, complete with state-of-the-art flight simulators. I urge you to dream big and learn to fly with us. Whether you aspire to be a pilot or are simply curious about aviation, our program provides an unmatched experience.
Beyond academics, Cedar Valley High School boasts a wide range of clubs, athletic teams, leadership teams, and performing arts groups. There’s something for everyone here, and I encourage you to get involved, explore your passions, and make lasting memories.
Together, as Aviators, we will soar to new heights this year. Let’s make it a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences.
Welcome back, and let’s make this year the best one yet!
Best wishes,
Principal Johnson

One-to-One Next Generation School
What does it mean to be a Next Generation One-to-One School? - Because technology will be a key tool for students as they create and pursue their dreams, Cedar Valley High School desires to provide this technology in an equitable and systematic manner. Research has also shown that technology can provide students with greater opportunities for meaningful engagement. This means we will be providing every student with their own Chromebook to use at home and at school. Click HERE for a district document with all the answers.
Parental Permissions - Before students can be issued or use a Chromebook, parents will need to provide permission through a Student Acceptable Use Agreement, and an Agreement For the Use of Instructional Technology Property. See this Video and this tutorial for instructions on how to provide these permissions. Please complete this before the pre-boarding day.
Insurance & Fines - Students will be responsible for any damages to the Chromebook and for any missing chargers or devices issued to them. We will have details about these fines and a very low-cost insurance option through a third party to help you avoid the possibility of fines. Insurance Flyer and Information. Sign up HERE.
