Message from the Leadership Team
Dear Noadswood families, You'll note from the events section that we are approaching that time of year when things become very busy with lots of exciting opportunities and festivities for all. We would particularly like to draw your attention to Monday 8th December, which is an INSET day; school will be closed to all students. Our Year 11 mocks are now well underway, and we are incredibly proud of the mature and focused approach so many of our students are demonstrating. This period can feel challenging, and it is more important than ever that we continue to work together to support every student. If you have any concerns - whether academic, wellbeing-related, or logistical - please do not hesitate to reach out to the team at year11@noadswood.hants.sch.uk We would also like to highlight that on Friday 19th December we will be holding our end-of-year assemblies. On this day, school will close at 12:30pm (or as close to this time as possible celebrating our students’ brilliant achievements can sometimes mean we finish a few minutes later). If families need their children to remain on site until 2:50pm, please email erollett@noadswood.hants.sch.uk Best wishes, Kathryn Marshall and the Noadswood Leadership Team
Coffee and Cake Morning with Grandparents and Carers
It was wonderful to see so many grandparents join us for our coffee and cake morning that came to our very first one last year and it was equally wonderful to see lots of new faces. This has now turned into a yearly event where we can get together, eat cake, drink coffee and play a game of bingo. The students came through with their baking skills and created some wonderful cakes that almost looked too good to cut.
The winner of the Cake Bake-Off is Emily F and Amber K in Year 7 The tutor group that baked the most cakes for our Coffee and Cake morning was 7A1, so a very big congratulations to them.
Road Safety Awareness Week
We would like to thank all parents and carers who always park considerately around our school and the local roads The whole week has had a focus on parking, driving, cycling and walking safely daily. Please could we ask you to read some of the points below and see if we can really make a difference to parking and dropping off further away from the school.

Awesome Alumni
David Larbalestier A Noadswood Student 2005-2010
I left Noadswood in 2010, which was the same year I launched my business - known then as ‘Waterside Event Medical Cover’. We have supported events at Noadswood and will continue to do so. As the name suggests, we were providing Medical Services to events, which I had been doing previously as a volunteer with St John Ambulance from age 10-16. 15 years on, we are still operating and see growth every year. This year has seen our biggest project yet, and we are merging with another Ambulance Company to really accelerate our growth and to expand the services we provide. Alongside my business journey, when I left Noadswood, I attended Totton College and trained as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner. Occasionally, I still undertake this work at a few local Early Years settings and Holiday Clubs within the Waterside Area. I also trained with the SIA as a Close Protection Operative back in 2020, and have since worked in various security sectors, including Night Time Economy, Mobile Response, Executive Protection and most recently, setting up and managing security control room’s at two large public venues, which also included being trained by the National Protective Security Authority in Event Control Room Counter Terrorism Prevention. My biggest advice for you all is not to give up. I wasn’t the most academic at school and my exam results weren’t the best, but if you believe in yourself and you want something enough, then go out there and get it! "You can do anything if you put your mind to it."
