Beginning Band Monster Rehearsal May 14th and Trip May 15th

We will have our one beginning band Monster Rehearsal after school on Tuesday May 14th from 3:40 – 4:45. This mandatory rehearsal will be the only time we get to work with all of the beginners combined to prepare for our Festival and Spring Concert. This will help our kids be ready and prepared for their pinnacle performance of the year. It’s so exciting!

Beginning Band Spring Concert with SW and Jazz Band will be held on May 16th beginning at 6:30pm. Call time for beginners will be 5:45pm and call time for SW and Jazz Band will be 6:00pm

  • Only viewable to students using their PISD student login
  •  Students who did not submit their audition project or not enrolled in band for 24-25 will not be listed in band placement

School-Owned Instrument Check-in - Thursday-Friday 5/16 - 5/17

We will begin check-in all school owned instruments (oboe, bassoon, bass clarinet, tenor sax, bari sax, french horn, euphonium, tuba) on Thursday May 16th. (incl. all home instruments) We need to check them in to look for any repairs and or cleaning that may need to be done. We can recheck instruments out to returning Rogers band students the week after school is released or sooner if possible (assuming inventory is available). Outgoing 8th graders attending high school band will be able to check an instrument out during May camp.

Instruments should be returned with the following: valves oiled, slides greased, instrument wiped down (dry microfiber cloth), dust removed (q-tip helps in small places), corks greased, cases cleaned out (a vacuum hose attachment can help)

Beginners and SW students will be able to take their instruments home on Thursday 5/16 for the concert. However, they must be returned the next day on 5/17.

Prosper ISD Band Camp

We are VERY excited to announce the Third Annual PISD Middle School Band Camp. The camp is for students who will be in 7th or 8th grade for the 2024-2025 School year (current 6th/7th graders).

This is an amazing time to reach across the entire district to learn music, make some new friends and have a ton of fun! (and if nothing else, get your kids out of the house for a few hours) There will be a 7th grade camp in the morning and an 8th grade camp in the afternoon. Friday, we will present a concert and a take a trip for the all campers. Camp Week - June 3rd - 7th 2024
