Video Application Guide Upload and share your application video with CQUniveristy.

Your video application can be uploaded to any hosting service that allows you to generate a shareable link. This webpage contains guides for OneDrive and Google Drive.

OneDrive is a cloud storage service provided by Microsoft. It allows users to store videos in the cloud, and share them with anyone via a link. OneDrive offers free storage space to Microsoft account holders. If you have a Microsoft account follow the OneDrive Guide to upload your video and create a shareable link.

Google Drive is a cloud storage and file backup service provided by Google. It allows users to store videos from any device with an internet connection. Google Drive offers free storage space to Google account holders. If you have a Google account, follow the Google Drive Guide to upload your video and create a shareable link.

OneDrive

Go to the OneDrive website (onedrive.live.com) and sign in using your Microsoft account credentials. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free.

Select the "Upload" button, then select "Files" from the drop-down menu. Browse your computer to locate the video file you want to upload, select it, and click "Open" or "Upload."

Once the video upload is complete, you need to adjust the share settings so that the panel can access your video. Hover over your file, then select the share icon.

Select the cog icon to open the share settings.

Set share the link with to Anyone, then select Apply to save your changes.

Check that the text below the message box says “anyone with the link can view” then select copy link.

Add this link to your cover letter. Add your text then highlight and right-click the words "application video" and add your OneDrive link. This should look similar to below.

Please test that your link is accessible to anyone by opening it on another device, or in a different browser.

Google Drive

Open your web browser and go to the Google Drive website (drive.google.com). Sign in to your Google account if you're not already signed in.

Click on the "+ New" button on the left-hand side of the screen. From the drop-down menu, select "New Folder".

Open the new folder, then select "+ New" from the left-hand side menu, then "File Upload". Select your file from your computer and upload it.

Select the three dots on the right-hand side of your file, then select Share.

By default, General access will be set to Restricted. Select the down arrow and change this to anyone with the link.

Select Copy link.

Add this link to your cover letter. Add your text then highlight and right-click the words "application video" and add your Google Drive link. This should look similar to below.
