The Difference Between a Land Agent and Other Real Estate Agents

Our land is more valuable than our money. It will last forever. It will not even perish by the flames of fire. For as long as the sun shines and the waters flow, our land will be here to give life to men and animals.

Ranches across Texas have been shrinking in number for years. Mossy Oak Properties of Texas is determined to reverse the trend. The most rewarding aspect of farm and ranch land ownership is the people we get to share it with. Said selfishly, the most rewarding part of our day-to-day is sharing the roadmap to all willing and able, future landowners to bring suburban Texans back to their roots!

Whether you’re a hunter, fisherman, farmer, or rancher, the memories shared with friends and family borne from the land you own will live on long after us. If you’ve ever had an interest in owning your piece of Texas, please reach out to us to begin the search for your Ranch

About Jose

Jose was born and raised in Texas, Jose is a 6th generation rancher and discovered at a very young age his passion for the outdoors. Jose's fondest memories would bring him back to his family's cattle ranch out in West Texas.

At a young age, he found himself working at his family ranch tilling, bailing, and branding cattle. He fell in love with raising cattle where he learned the importance of having a sustainable habitat and some good rain. He fell in love with hunting because it brought his family and friends together. He was raised with values of how to manage and steward the land, the right way leaving the land better than it was found. You can find him on a tractor, horseback, or pulling a gooseneck when he's out in West Texas. Jose, attended Abilene Christian University and earned a degree in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Agribusiness. While in college, Jose found himself at the ranch feeding cattle, bailing hay, and hunting with his friends creating lifelong memories.

He decided to pursue his dream of helping people find their dream property where they could create a lifetime of memories just like he did growing up. Jose is a big advocate for small ranches and farms and hopes that he can continue to grow the Ag industry he loves and has lived his entire life. Jose extensive knowledge in the agriculture industry has helped his clients start and expand their operation across the great state of Texas.

About Jack

Jack Duke grew up in the North Texas area, and any time his dad was outdoors Jack tagged along. From kindergarten through high school if he wasn’t in school or playing sports, chances were he was working outside, hunting, or fishing. His favorite moments from his childhood were the ones spent outdoors creating memories with his friends and family. He knew from early on he wanted to be involved in the world of agriculture. After high school he went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University.

It was during that time he found his love for real estate. He shadowed one of his mentors who practiced farm and ranch real estate and knew instantly it was exactly what he wanted to do. He quickly found a deep passion for this career as he was able to mix the two things he had a love for, real estate and agriculture. During his time outdoors with his dad he learned two of the most important lessons that he holds himself to every day. He learned you are to always leave the land better than you found it and to do the right thing no matter what. Jack strives to take care of the land we are given and use it to the best of our ability. He hopes to bring those around him the same incredible memories in the outdoors he was blessed with. His goal is to help others find their dream property as well as market properties to their full potential. Jack is here to help you buy more, sell more, and experience more of Texas!
