Thank you from Mrs Hall and Merry Christmas

To all our incredibly generous parents who donated to the Mayor's Toy Appeal, ensuring every child experiences the magic of the holiday season, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

Many wonderful memories have been made in this last week of term, and you can get a glimpse of some of these in the pictures below. On behalf of everyone in the Prep School, have a very Merry Christmas and may next year be a happy and peaceful one. We look forward to seeing you again on 9 January 2024!

A week in Pictures

Celebrating Assembly

We celebrated the achievements of our wonderful young people at this terms Celebration Assembly! From academic excellence to outstanding sportsmanship, to consistent effort and hard work, we are proud to recognise and applaud their hard work and dedication.

Gingerbread house winners

  • 1st - Year 3
  • 2nd Year 5
  • 3rd Reception

Mr Hall from the catering department joined us in assembly on Wednesday to announce the gingerbread house decorating competition. All the entries were amazing! After much excitement and anticipation, Year 3 were crowned the winners and received some very special presents. A big thank you to Mr Hall for making our Christmas week so much fun!

Privilege lunch

At the end of each Term we invite pupils who have received 5 Privilege cards or more to a special lunch. These cards are rewarded for special acts of kindness, consideration and good manners. Congratulations every one, you can be so very proud of yourselves.

...and some backstage fun

Letters to Father Christmas

The sun came out and Year 2 managed to post our letters to Father Christmas. We also managed to finish our cars in DT this week. Perhaps Father Christmas will be driving in one of them next year! Merry Christmas everyone from Year 2 and Miss Argyle.

Christmas Lunch

Thank you to our lovely catering team for a wonderful Christmas lunch. As always everything was so tasty and even the Polar Express was doing its rounds on the desert table. From all of us in Prep, thank you Mr Hall and the Catering Team, for all the lovely meals this term.

Panto

On Wednesday afternoon we all had the opportunity to see the new Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast. We enjoyed the story of how Bookish Belle gets ready to start a new chapter, but things are not as dreamy as she hoped they would be. However Belle, her friend Jacques and his mum, Betty, local bell ringer of Tunbridge Bells (and with some assistance from Mr Sullivan), get much more than they bargained for when they find themselves trapped inside the enchanted castle of a mysterious beast.

Breakfast at school in your Pyjamas!

What can be more fun than coming to school in your pyjamas and having breakfast with your friends. Thank you again for to the Catering team for all the lovely spoils this week. We love your food!

Have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas and a very happy new year. See you back in school on Tuesday 9 January 2024
