Let's take a look AT WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON THIS WEEK

EYFS - Wriggly Nativity!

This week, Reception performed their first ' Wriggly Nativity'. The children have been practising songs, dances and the story of Christmas this term on the lead up to the show and on Thursday 'Wow'd' all of their families with their super performance! There were dancing sheep, singing shepherds and sparkling stars and angels! The EYFS team could not be prouder of the children for their performance. Well done!

Key Stage 1

WOW! What an exciting week it has been in Year 1! From smoothie making, Elf Runs, Christmas Movie Screenings to visiting St. Mary's Church to celebrate Christingle, we have had a blast! Miss Richardson and Miss Lynch have been extremely proud of our independent writing this week; our pupils have been writing postcards to Santa to tell him all about what our cheeky classroom elves have been up to!

Year 2 have had a fabulous week learning about 3D shapes in Maths. In Art, we have been exploring thick and thin brushes. In History, we have learnt the difference between rich and poor Victorian children. We have also been rehearsing for our Nativity and we can’t wait to show you next week!

Lower Key Stage 2

We have had a lovely week in Year 3. Despite being busy getting ready for Christmas and practising for our Community Centre performance, we have still managed to fit in lots of wonderful learning! In English, we have written our own renditions of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. They are super! We also finished our Art paintings in the style of Georgia O'Keefe, where the children combined all the skills we have learned this term to a flower painting.

This week in History, Year 4 continued to learn about the Romans. We were very excited to look at lots of Roman artefacts including mosaics, tiles and wax tablets.

Upper Key Stage 2

Year 5 had an excellent week this week! In Maths, we began learning how to convert mixed number fractions to improper fractions. The children have truly blown Miss Richardson and Miss Kaur away with all their hard work and determination.

In Year 6, we have begun writing our non-chronological reports all about WWII. These have been utterly fabulous and we are so proud of how much progress our Year 6 authors have made so far this year!

Both Year 5 and 6 well and truly got into the Christmas spirit this week as we had an am amazing time participating in the Elf Run and our family fun Bingo night. All of the money raised will be going towards our Cash for Kids competition, which ends on Monday! Well done UKS2!
