A School Messenger will be sent out this week with links to make an appointment to see any of your child's teacher you would like to meet with to discuss their progress so far this year!

Attendance Reminders!

MSE students are doing a great job with attendance this year, but just a reminder that in accordance with district policy, any time a student has more than 10 absences in a school year (verified or unverified) that is considered excessive absences. We believe in being proactive about engaging families about attendance and setting up plans for attendance success with kids. Letters will be sent home once your child reaches 5 absences, at 10 absences an attendance meeting will take place. If there is a barrier impacting your child's attendance, please reach out to their counselor or administration to discuss options. It is always good practice to get a medical note from a doctor, prompt care, or other provider if your child was ill as medical notes do not count towards truancy.

This week's Eagle of the Week is Guiliana F. who was nominated by her Math teacher Mrs. Conger who said "Giuliana an ideal student. Chromebook Insurance

Please see the attached flier below for Chromebook insurance in case your student's device sustains any damage throughout the course of the year. If you are a 7th or 8th grade parent, you will need to renew your insurance policy if you bought it last year. With middle schoolers, things happen! The prices to repair a chromebook add up fast and the student and parent is responsible for any damage to the school device. Common fixes include a new screen (which would run parents $58 to fix) or when a key pops off, the entire keyboard needs to be replaced (at a cost of $72). It's a great idea to sign up for the device insurance!
