We have had a very fun week of learning topped off with an extremely exciting school trip! We finished our Gargoyles from the Stories of the Stones project using paper mâché, which was great fun and a little bit messy too! The children showed fantastic creativity as they brought their gargoyles to life.
In PE, we have been working hard on our golf putting skills, looking at control and accuracy and showing great teamwork working in our school houses to score points.
In English, we started exploring winter-themed free verse poetry. We even went outside into the school yard for a sensory walk, using our senses to collect ideas and inspiration for our winter writing. The children came up with some wonderful descriptive vocabulary!
The highlight of the week was definitely our trip to the Theatre Royal on Thursday to watch the pantomime, Aladdin! We all had such a fantastic time and the children were brilliant representatives of our school.
