Am 19. Oktober 2014 bin ich von Basel mit dem Bus nach Venedig gefahren um auf das Schiff Costa Magica für die «Eastern Mediterranean» Rundreise zu boarden. Die Abfahrt war am späten Abend und wir sind dann früh am Morgen in Venedig angekommen. Da hatte ich noch Zeit für einen kurzen Besuch in der Stadt. Um 15.00h Nachmittags hat das Boarding angefangen und ich konnte mein Zimmer ganz hinten mit Balkon beziehen. Ca um 17:00h ging es dann los nach Bari. Anschliessend nach Katakolon (Olympia), Piraeus (Athen), Izmir und dann ein Tag auf See und letzte Station vor der Rückreise nach Venedig war Dubrovnik, Kroatien. Das war eine tolle Tour die ich leider alleine unternehmen musste, da Helena eine neue Stelle angetreten und noch keinen Urlaub bekommen hat. On 19 October 2014, I took the bus from Basel to Venice to board the Costa Magica for the ‘Eastern Mediterranean’ cruise. We set sail late in the evening and arrived back in Venice early the next morning. I still had time for a quick visit to the city. Boarding began at 3.00 pm and I was able to settle into my cabin at the very back of the ship, which had a balcony. At around 5.00 pm, we set off for Bari. We then went on to Katakolon (Olympia), Piraeus (Athens), Izmir, followed by a day at sea, and the final stop before returning to Venice was Dubrovnik, Croatia. It was a fantastic trip, which I unfortunately had to take on my own, as Helena had started a new job and hadn’t been granted any holiday leave yet.
