Lots of Autumnal fun this week in Lower School... take a look! 🌳🍁🍂
Nursery had their first big walk down to the woods for the start of their Forest School adventures. They have been busy exploring everything orange and brown, from autumn apple and leaf printing, learning about the life cycle of an Oak tree to hunting for acorns!
Reception have looked at different houses this week. They went on an exciting trip to St Fagans. They completed a workshop learning about toys, old and new and want to make some of these back in school and also looked at the old houses in St Fagans. They were very excited to go in the Cowbridge School minibuses!
Year 1 have been celebrating 'Green libraries week' being sustainable superheroes learning what that means and how we can be sustainable. They made sustainable superheroes using the sustainable vegetables that we use for our lunch and made them talk using chatterpix. They have also planted flower bulbs ready to help the bees pollinate in the warmer weather and planned out the remaining planting beds.
To help the birds with the colder weather, they have made bird feeders using apples and oranges filled with lard and bird seeds. They put them on the trees around the school to encourage more birds to visit us as they have a great view from their classroom window!
