Centipede Nets Improve Fish Sampling and Reveal Unseen Diversity in Atlantic East Pacific Mangroves

I will be presenting the research that I did for my master's thesis in the mangroves around the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica—and you are welcome to come watch my presentation!

Friday, July 19 at 3 pm CDT (2 pm Costa Rica Time)

If you're in Stillwater, come watch in person! Agriculture Hall Room 019

Through my master's thesis research I studied an improved technique for sampling fish in mangrove habitats.

I tested centipede nets in the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica, but they look promising for use in mangroves around the world.

After graduation I hope to use my technical skills, academic training, and strong work ethic to improve our understanding and management of coastal and aquatic ecosystems.
Prior to starting my master's program, I earned bachelor's degrees in Biology and Spanish. I have also worked as a professional photographer for years.
I always enjoy merging my interests and capturing compelling images of the beautiful places and interesting people that I encounter.
Please get in touch if you are interested in my research or photography!

I'd love to connect!
