Currently, I am pursuing a BA in Film and Theatre Arts at Kenyatta University, driven by a vision to establish one of Africa’s leading events companies.
I pride myself on professionalism, respect, and delivering exceptional results that exceed my clients' expectations. Whether behind the camera or editing suite, I am committed to turning your vision into reality.
HOW I GOT HERE
My journey began with a deep passion for creativity and craftsmanship. Growing up in Kenya, I was always drawn to storytelling and hands-on work, whether it was fixing motorcycles or capturing moments with a camera. This passion led me to Kenyatta University, where I pursued a BA in Film and Theatre Arts, further solidifying my love for filmmaking and photography. Although I haven’t completed my degree yet, the knowledge and skills I gained have been instrumental in shaping my career.
Over the past two years, I’ve dedicated myself to events photography, honing my craft and building a reputation for delivering high-quality work. Along the way, I’ve also expanded my skill set to include photo and video editing, enabling me to provide a comprehensive service to my clients.
Every step of this journey has been driven by a commitment to professionalism and a desire to create unforgettable experiences. My ultimate goal is to establish one of the biggest events companies in Africa, where I can combine my creative vision and technical expertise to leave a lasting impact.
Background and Education
I began my education journey in 2004 at Gachororo Primary School, where I completed grade 8 with 320 marks in the KCPE. From 2012 to 2015, I attended Mururia Boys High School and earned a B- of 59 points in my KCSE.
In 2017, I pursued a Grade II Certificate course in plumbing and welding at St. Dominic's Technical and Agricultural Training Institute, gaining practical skills that broadened my expertise. Later, in 2021, I joined Kenyatta University to study for a BA in Film and Theatre Arts. Unfortunately, I had to pause my studies due to financial constraints.
In 2024, I participated in a one-month training on motorcycle repair and maintenance organized by GIZ and Integration, further diversifying my technical abilities. These experiences have shaped my skill set and contributed to my personal and professional growth.
The hem of the pool expands indefinitely, ringing the sleeping dog and now worried fox with concentric circles of glowing liquid. The pool has lost its reflection in the spread, imbued with an inner light that seems to have its own authority, though not lacking in warmth. A once dull and listless pooch now shines with the brilliance of a recently cleaned pinball machine — unknowingly showcasing a rescued sense of neon.
Career Beginnings
My photography journey began in 2015 when I used my uncle's pocket camera to capture moments and develop an interest in the craft. In 2020, I took a significant step by purchasing my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D5600. With this, I delved deeper into photography, improving my skills through countless YouTube tutorials and learning how to edit photos using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
As my passion grew, I invested in professional photography equipment, including a softbox, light stand, speedlight, trigger, lens filters, 70-300mm zoom and 50mm prime lenses, a tripod stand, BOYA boom mic with a boom pole, a Zoom H1n recorder, and extra memory cards. These tools allowed me to refine my work and take on more significant projects.
Since then, I have served as the main photographer for over 10 weddings, more than 5 pre-weddings, 5 graduations, 2 birthdays, and 3 corporate events. I have also captured podcasts and had the privilege of traveling to Diani Beach, to work as the main photographer for Mshamba.com, where I also created behind-the-scenes reels for the show. My experience even includes product photography, highlighting my adaptability and dedication to delivering high-quality results. I have also shot and edited a music video and several episodes of a Podcast, Haula Xtra, all of which are on YouTube.
