One of the many positive changes introduced by Ron Lutwiller CEO, was a new way to communicate with all associates. Keeping everyone informed on company updates that cover the many facets within Bonitz, Ron created the State of the Union address. Throughout the year he highlighted our current sales, operations, and financial standings. He utilized this tool to discuss the wins, the losses, and the continued challenges that Bonitz faces.
"Also, I want to thank many of you. 2024 was a new year for me. I not only had to gain the board’s confidence, but I had to gain yours, and I would be remiss not to acknowledge the support that you have given me throughout the year. I have lost count of the conversations, emails, text messages, and phone calls that I have received, providing encouragement, support, and enthusiasm for the future. Some of the comments really touched me. They were powerful, and coincidently enough, always seemed to come through at the perfect time.
There is nothing about this role that I take lightly. All of us, and our families depend on our success. That is the mission, and we will not waver from it.
Hang on for 2025! As a company, we are transforming. We are still setting the bar (and continue to do so) with how we do things, and the advantages that we continue to provide our customers. We will continuously change (no, we won’t go through anything like a software change again) but we will continuously push ourselves to improve and to make Bonitz the leading and preferred commercial trade specialty contractor wherever we choose to do business."

Greenville Retreat 2024
Greenville, SC
Greenville divided the office into teams that had to each represent a different decade. From the 50's to the 90's, they really showed out for their teammates! 50's group showed a little too much (haha just kidding y'all are awesome). 60's dazzled in their best tye-dye and hippie looks. 70's need to "mellow out, man" with their Up In Smoke references. 80's crew looks like they just walked off the set of Grease. 90's brought the best of the punk rock grunge looks. The Greenville leaders dressed up as characters from the classic motion picture classic: The Goonies.
Looks like they had a blast, will be hard to top this set of retreat photos!

Community Outreach
Knoxville, TN
One of our employees, Jennifer Tipton Sr. Project Specialist, out of our Knoxville office spends time with her church every year to help some under privileged children in Rural Appalachia in Claiborne County on the TN-KY boarder. Twice a year Jennifer’s church raises funds to provide school supplies and other necessities for Clairfield Elementary School.
"Every Christmas we request a wish list from every student at the school. After all the gifts have been gathered a small group of people will convoy to the school to hand out the gifts and provide snacks and basic essentials collected from the church congregation as the children open them. To see the joy in their eyes and watch how they react to receiving something as simple as a pair of purple socks is so humbling. We also have people who sponsor a bicycle or donate money to help by them to be given away to a boy and a girl in each grade."
"One little girl was crying when she opened her teddy bear. One girl just wanted horse décor and toys for her bedroom, and she was so surprised to get a pair of cowgirl boots. Another boy was excited to get a pair of new shoes because his old ones that look just like his new ones had been glued back together after the sole started tearing off."

Chef's Table
Charleston, SC
A good problem to have: it was difficult to decide whether this should go in the Extreme Customer Ownership category, or in the Do The Right Thing category.
Every year associates from the Charleston office attend the TCL (Technical College of the Lowcountry) Chef's Table - one of our clients. An evening full of delicious food by the students and famous chef's as they raise money for the school.

Some Serious Quilting

The Cabarrus Quilters Guild competition took place in our training room, and let me tell you the tensions were running high in that room. Serious time goes into every quilt, so you can imagine the pressure of wanting to win. They are truly pieces of art.
During this event, Hickory Ridge High School had our Concord office employees vote on their favorite piece of art designed by their students. The level of skill the students showed was incredible. We were very lucky to be surrounded by so much creativity in the building that day!!

Project Epsilon
Greenville, SC
Customer wanted a large and grand feeling front entrance in their small building but with minimal echoing as the lobby is all hard tile.
We installed the Acoufelt Fracture Motif panels to help absorb that expected noise and even spent half a day laying the 12”x 12” tiles out on the floor with the owner and designer to help create the unique linear pattern they were envisioning.
