2D QC (QUALITY CONTROL) ANIMATOR

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced QC 2D Animator with expertise in Toon Boom Harmony to join our production team. As a QC Animator, you will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring the consistency, quality, and technical accuracy of animation scenes before final delivery. Your role is vital in maintaining the visual and performance standards of our animated projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and analyze animated scenes created in Toon Boom Harmony for technical accuracy, character consistency, and adherence to style guides.
• Identify and flag issues related to posing, timing, arcs, volume, rigging, deformation, and scene setup.
• Ensure animation meets project-specific requirements (e.g. frame rate, resolution, nomenclature etc).
• Collaborate with Animators, Supervisors, Producer & Production Manager and the Technical Director to ensure corrections are effectively communicated and implemented.
• Perform minor fixes directly in Toon Boom Harmony when appropriate or required.
• Maintain and update QC tracking documents, reports, and feedback sheets.
• Participate in regular production reviews and provide feedback to enhance the quality pipeline.
• Support supervisors in upholding animation standards and delivering high-quality content on schedule.

Qualifications and Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a 2D animator or QC artist in a professional animation studio.
• Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony (including cut-out and rigged animation workflows).
• Strong understanding of animation principles: Knowledge of timing, spacing, and action is crucial.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to animation.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to identify animation errors and inconsistencies.
• Solid understanding of classical animation principles.
• Familiarity with production pipelines and file management systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
