Ursinus Athletic Facilities

Patterson Field

Sports: Football, M/W Soccer, M/W Lacrosse, M/W Track & Field

Patterson Field is the home to seven teams on campus and recently went through an installation of brand new artificial turf and track during the Summer of 2023. This 1,700-seat stadium has home and away stands and two scoreboards located behind each end zone.

Below the stadium field are Track & Field throwing areas for all four outdoor events and jumping events

Helfferich Hall

Sports: M/W Basketball, Gymnastics, Volleyball, M/W Wrestling

Located just inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center, Helfferich Hall plays host to six teams on campus as a multi-purpose facility. The gym was renovated in 2006 and had a new floor installed during the summer of 2022. Fans routinely pack the stands to create a tremendous gameday atmosphere. Additionally, Helfferich holds the William Racich Room for Wrestling Excellence and the Gymnastics room for added practice space for the respective teams.

Eleanor Frost Snell Alumnae Field

Sports: Field Hockey

The Snell Alumnae Field plays host to the Bears storied Field Hockey program that won the Division III National Championship in 2006. This A-Turf field has hosted nine Centennial Championship games, seven NCAA Tournament regionals, and the 2008 Division III Final Four.

Thomas Field

Sports: Baseball

Thomas Field plays host to the Ursinus Baseball team. The stadium features two lengthy dugouts, bullpens on each baseline, and a set of bleachers behind home plate.

Snell Softball Field

Sports: Softball

The Snell Softball Field sits on the Northeast end of the Ursinus Athletic Complex. This stadium features two sizable dugouts for each team and bullpens behind home plate and the left field wall. There is plenty of spacious seating for fans to set up to watch the Bears in action. The Snell Softball Field has hosted the Centennial Championship weekend six times with the most recent coming in May 2023.

Ace Bailey Tennis Courts

Sports: M/W Tennis

Sitting adjacent to the Snell Field Hockey Field and Thomas Field, the Ace Bailey Courts host the Ursinus Tennis teams. The facility features eight courts to allow a full amount of action between both squads. The courts were resurfaced in Summer of 2023 which also created pickleball lines on the four backcourts to allow the Ursinus community to play the fast-growing sport.

William Elliott Pool

Sports: M/W Swimming

Located inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center and adjacent to Helfferich Hall, the William Elliott Pool houses the Bears swimming teams on campus. This six-lane pool gets packed routinely for home meets and plays host to local high school swimming teams and the Ursinus "Little Bears" swim lessons throughout the year

Floy Lewis Bakes Center FieldHouse

Sports: M/W Track & Field, M/W Wrestling

The Floy Lewis Bakes Center fieldhouse plays host to multiple Indoor Track & Field meets and wrestling tournaments throughout the winter months. The Centennial Conference Indoor Championship Meet has been hosted here 10 times and is also used for indoor high school track & field meets hosted by Ursinus. The Ursinus wrestling team also uses the facility for multiple wrestling tournaments along with dual meets on occasion.

Perkiomen Trail

The Ursinus Cross Country/Track & Field teams have access to the 20-mile Perkiomen Trail that connects right outside of campus. The teams use the trail on occasion to train throughout the year.

Wilkes Field

Wilkes Field sits adjacent to Patterson Field and serves as an alternate practice site for multiple Ursinus teams throughout the year.

Ursinus College Fitness Center

Located in the Floy Lewis Bakes Center, the Ursinus College Fitness Center is a shared space for all of campus. Open year-round, the first-class fitness facility is available for use for students, student athletes, faculty, & staff. Varsity teams workout throughout the year as well in the center.
