EVENING VIRTUAL MATH LAB Confused with math homework after hours? Stuck on a problem and can't remember how to solve it? Can't get your POW started? Jump on our Math Lab Zoom....

Monday Through Thursday

6:30pm to 8:30pm

The purpose of the "Evening Virtual Math Lab" is to offer timely and free assistance to MTMS students struggling to compete math homework and or the "Problem of the Week." Accessible via Zoom, this drop-in program prioritizes quick, targeted help for students equipped with a Chromebook or a computer. No appointments needed. Sessions are designed for efficiency, with a first-come, first-served approach and may include multiple students at the same time in the same course. Students are welcome to stay online as long as needed, especially when the teacher is not helping others. Please note that this is not a two-hour one-on-one tutoring program.

How Do I Get Help Using Evening Virtual Math Lab?

  1. Have a specific math homework / POW question ready to go when you enter the Zoom room.
  2. "I need help" or "I'm stuck" is not good enough. Be specific, "Can you help me find a common denominator?" "I do not understand how to convert a fraction to a decimal."
  3. Visit the Zoom Link HERE
  4. Turn your video on and mute your microphone.
  5. Wait patiently for the teacher to let you in - he / she may be helping another student.
  6. You may be working with other students in your math class / this is not guaranteed 1:1 help.
  7. You may stay on as long as you like, especially if no other students are waiting for help.
  8. Be respectful of those around you and wait your turn.
  9. If for some reason this service is not available - your best effort and a homework submission is still required.
