A note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! A reminder that we have World Book Day coming up - we're going to celebrate this on the 8th March, which is the Friday, NOT the Thursday!  We'd like to invite children to come to school dressed in pyjamas or comfy clothes so that there's no need to buy anything. If, however, your child has been waiting for the moment to wear their favourite costume, they will be really welcome to come dressed in that! We hope to enjoy the day, celebrating the love of reading, rather than worry how we look! Please see the following flyer for details of a book swap taking place on Friday 8th March:

Events this week
KS2 Girls took part in the Don and Dearne Cup this week.
Y3 and 4 children visited the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield and tried their hand at programming their own controller.
Children in FS2 were visited by the inflatable Wonder Dome as part of their learning about Space.
Online Safety

This week our Internet Safety Guide from the National College focusses on the app: Monkey. Don't forget that you can talk to us if you're worried about your child's time online.

Have a lovely weekend

Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.

At Swinton Queen Primary School, children are aspirational, courageous and inquisitive; respectful of all.
