"A Match"

The Korea Football Association, which has decided to play two games of the second qualifying round for the 2026 North-China World Cup Asia under a temporary coach system, will appoint an interim head coach at the third meeting of the Power Enhancement Committee on the 27th.

The Korea Football Association said on the 26th, "The meeting of the Power Enhancement Committee will be held at the soccer hall from 2 p.m. on the 27th," adding, "We will hold a briefing when the results come out after the meeting and can be announced."

The key to the third meeting is to select an interim coach to direct the second Asian qualifying match against Thailand scheduled for March 21 and 26.

At the first meeting, the power reinforcement committee led by Chairman Chung Hae-sung agreed that the committee should move to a formal managerial system starting from the "A Match" in March. However, the committee decided that there was not enough time to appoint a head coach, and changed its direction to a temporary managerial system after the second meeting.

The interim coach is likely to be decided at the third meeting because he must register as a leader with FIFA by early next month in order to lead the second consecutive match against Thailand. Currently, former Vietnamese national soccer team coach Park Hang-seo and Olympic national soccer team coach Hwang Sun-hong are mentioned as strong candidates. 토토
