Introduction

California sea lions are animals that live under the water. They normally live through Alaska to Central Mexico. They are smart and agile.

Behaviors

California sea lions are known for there intelligence. They can be seen blowing bubbles, playing with objects, surfing and are in the U.S navy military. They eat many squids and fish but are preyed on by orcas and great white sharks. When they are threatened they try to look big and make lots of vocal sounds. They are vey social creatures and live together in grroups.

Habitats

California sea lions live in Alaska to Mexico. When female sea lions enter other territory nothing really happens however, if a male enters someone else's territory it can lead to fighting or aggressive shows. They were both found and described by René Primevère Lesson. 

Fun Facts

They live up to 15 to 20 years in the wild but if they are in captivity they live up to 20 to 30 years.

They are known for their agility and are often trained for marine shows and displays.
