Colgate Seminar Seniors
Mrs. O recently shared a heartfelt reflection following the final Colgate University Seminar of the year, which also served as a special “senior night” for participating students. These seminars give students in grades 9–12 the opportunity to explore college-level topics not typically available in high school while also experiencing a glimpse of life on a college campus. With four sessions held each year, the program has become a favorite tradition for many students. The seniors pictured have participated in the program since their freshman year. Over time, they explored a wide range of topics including art, dance, navigating the political world, networking and relationships, volunteerism, managing stress, poetry, languages, and more. Mrs. O also reflected on the many memories made along the way, including debates over the perfect playlist for the drive, group sing-alongs, car games, shared stories, and students stepping outside their comfort zones by trying new foods in the dining hall.
She shared that it has been a joy to watch this group grow over the years and that she is excited to see where they go next!
