"Project on diagnosing and fixing engine problems was tough but rewarding. I love the hands-on, puzzle-like aspect of fixing cars."

I chose the automotive elective out of my own interest. I've always been fascinated by how cars work. Coolest thing? Learning how to do basic maintenance and building up your own car. Project on diagnosing and fixing engine problems was tough but rewarding. I love the hands-on, puzzle-like aspect of fixing cars. Classic cars are my thing – the design and history are captivating. Thinking about a career in the automotive field after high school – turning my passion into a job sounds pretty great. Advice for others? Just go for it, even if you're a newbie. It's hands-on, fun, and who knows, you might discover a new passion.
