OV Celebrates National Honor Society and Junior National Honor Society Inductions

Combined Ceremony Honors New Members and Academic Achievement

Otselic Valley Central School District celebrated student achievement during its combined National Honor Society (NHS) and Junior National Honor Society (JNHS) Induction Ceremony held on April 29. Centered on the theme, "Honoring Our Past, Recognizing Our Present, and Preparing for the Future," the ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

The evening featured guest speaker Eric Wentworth, an Otselic Valley alumnus, former National Honor Society member, Dean of Students, and 6-12 Social Studies teacher. Mr. Wentworth shared reflections on leadership, service, and the importance of making a positive impact within the school and community.

During the ceremony, new members were inducted into both organizations. Students were recognized for their academic accomplishments and commitment to serving others, while current members were honored for continuing to uphold the values of the National Honor Society and Junior National Honor Society.

The evening concluded with the announcement of the Class of 2026's top academic honors. Congratulations to Valedictorian Josie Guernsey and Salutatorian Wyatt Eaton on their outstanding achievements.

Congratulations to all of the students recognized during the ceremony. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence continue to make Otselic Valley proud.
