"An explosion of Stoner Rock energy, channelling a blend of Clutch, Fu Manchu, and Karma to Burn, this is the type of band you immediately want to show your headbanging friends" - Pat Schober (Monster Riff)
Formed in 2010 by brothers Shaun (bass & vocals) and Sam Forshaw (drums) whilst building indoor skate parks in East Lothian, Scotland. After attending 2010's Roadburn Festival in Holland, the brothers were stuck due to the eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull. With nothing to do but drink beer and get the idea of starting a new band that would cut out all the bullshit and just make you want to bang your head and drink 8000 beers! After several line-up changes, Fraser Lough (Daniel Wax Off, Charlie Tangos) joined the band on guitar in 2018, and things started to gain momentum. In the past 15 years, RDM have self recorded and released 4 EPs (Full Dunham 2014, Booze Cruse 2015, Druid Odyssey 2021, Intergalatic Party Powder 2022) and one album (Big Pussy 2019). 2022's "Intergalatic Party Powder" came in at #5 on the December Doom Charts and launched the band into being a well-known touring act on the Uk Stoner Rock circuit, sharing stages with Brant Bjork Trio, Church of the Cosmic Skull, King Witch, Kamchatka, Goblinsmoker, 1968, The Kryss Talmeth Experience, Nightstalker and many more......
2025 has been the strongest year yet for RDM with a sold out support slot with Desert rock legend Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Vista Chino & Stoner) in Glasgow, Scotland. Two joint headline festivals performances at Ramfest & Silveman Festival and a weekend trip up the north of Scotland with The Kryss Talmeth Experience. The band are set to release there newset single 'Beer Machine' with an accompanying music video shot by Steve Ingle on 30/9/25.
"A fun blast of brawny head banging intensity, delivered with passion and belief. You certainly don’t need to be drunk to enjoy this one, although the potency of the riffs and the impact of the guitar solo, might make you feel like you’ve had a skinful. It’s short and very freaking sweet" GBHBL
"Listening to Robot Death Monkey on repeat might lead to spontaneous human combustion" - Wayne Edwards, Flying Fiddlesticks Review
"Open a bottle of something or the other and put on Robot Death Monkey, and go Full Dunham! It will sooth even the most savage beast… In the end..." - Stoner Hive
"THE VIBES LEAN MUCH MORE IN THE REALM OF EARLY MASTODON COVERING KYUSS"" - Rock And Roll Fables
"FULL OF SLUDGY, FUZZY TONES, HUGE RIFFS"- Harbinger of Doom
"Robot Death Monkey are boozed up and ready for a fight!!!" - Deathrattle
"It doesn't get much cooler than this: vibrant, unrelenting riff 'n' rhythm poured straight from the tap" - Doomed & Stoned
" Fancy getting baked? Of course you do! Fancy downing several beers and crushing the empty cans into your skull? You bet! Fancy being an absolute legend? Where do I sign? Shred-masters Robot Death Monkey can make all of these dreams that seem so far out of reach a reality, and what they offer to help you achieve these dreams comes in the form of four new tracks from their second EP, Booze Cruise. Yes, we’re not doing things by halves here, nor are we being particularly subtle" - Keep It Fast
"If you're looking for some unruly stoner rock with a heavy end, check in on these guys" - The Burning Beard
