Hawkeyes Pop Cornhuskers Iowa blasts Nebraska 40-16 and takes 10 of the last 11 games in the Heroes Game series

1st Half

TE DJ Vonnahme scores the Hawkeyes first touchdown to go up 10-7 in the 1st quarter.
Kamari Moulton scores the second touchdown of the day for the Hawkeyes. The 2nd quarter TD culminated a 10 play, 75-yard drive put the Hawkeyes up 17-13.
While the Huskers were kicking field goals, the Hawkeyes execute the "Gronowski Plowski" for the touchdown and extend lead 24-16 at the half.

2nd Half

A pivotal moment in the game came in the 3rd quarter when Karson Sharar forced a fumble on a punt return. The ball rolled into the end zone and was recovered by Nebraska and scored as a Safety for the Hawkeyes.

The safety gave the Hawkeyes a 26-16 lead.

The Hawkeyes weren't finished yet. Mark Gronowski takes a shot to WR Reece Vander Zee who hauls in a one-handed grab 27 yards to the Nebraska 1 yard line.

Hawkeyes defeat Nebraska 40-16.

Dominance

The Hawkeyes win over Nebraska was the 10th out of the last 11 games played in the series and the 7th in a row on the road at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
