Construction

In the month of November construction has been working on projects here and there such as building carnival games for this Winter Carnival. For construction 1 class they allowed them to explore the scroll saw and they made snowman ornaments and to our surprise some of the kids wanted to make there own design for the ornaments to take home and put them on the Christmas tree. Overall, this past month has been has been the best, a lot of sparks have been lighten in the students. The artists side come out and they are make wonderful memories for us and themselves.

Entrepreneurship

Year one students started the Business Department lessons in November, which carried into December. Here they focused on the functions of each business unit and how they all contribute to help a business succeed. In December they are working on Management & Leadership. If time allows before winter break, they may begin their business plan review and writing project.

Year two students are planning to start their overview of the google technology suite of tools that is used in all businesses. Students need to learn and become proficient in them as they are used across the business spectrum. This will not only help them in their future careers, but also be more efficient in high school and college. However, after starting we made a quick pivot to something a little more exciting for the upcoming holidays. They started our 3D printing lessons and reviews. As students continue to learn about 3D printing, they will start printing both pre-existing designs as well as designs of their own creation. Most students are excited to get this started.
