Joey Iest Racing's mission is to always keep God first above everything else. I will strive at doing the best of my ability in racing on and off the track. In 2023, Joey transitioned from his role as a driver/owner to a management position at Iest Trucking, where he now oversees daily operations. Career Highlights
Joey started racing in 2012 at the age of 9. From 2012 to 2016 he raced Quarter Midgets at Madera Speedway and other QMA locations where he won countless races, club track records and track championships.
2017 - Joey moved up to running in the USAC HPD Focus Midget Series on asphalt at Madera Speedway. He won rookie of the year at the end of his first season.
2018 - Joey raced both dirt and pavement in the USAC Western Speed2 Midget series where he finished the season in 2nd place in both the pavement and overall championship standings. Joey also competed in the 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series for Naake-Klauer Motorsports at both Madera Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s Bull Ring.
2019 - Joey drove the number #88 Chevrolet Late Model for Naake-Klauer Motorsports in the 51FIFTY Jr Late Model Series where he won the 2019 Championship. Joey also competed in 7 Nut-Up Pro Late Model Series races at Madera Speedway. In addition to the Late Models, Joey competed in selected USAC Western Speed 2 Midget races, winning 7 races in 7 starts bringing home the championship.
2020 brought on a variety of new challenges for Joey as he competed in both the SRL Super Late Model Tour and several NASCAR ARCA Menard's Series West races. Joey also signed with David Gilliland Racing (DGR) to compete in 6 ARCA Menard's Series East events in 2021.
2021 - Joey competed full-time in the ARCA Menard's Series West with Naake-Klauer Motorsports as well as 8 races with David Gilliland Racing. Joey recorded his first ARCA Series win at Colorado National Speedway and finished 5th in championship point in both the East and West ARCA Series.
2022 - Joey returned to the ARCA Menards Series West with Naake-Klauer Motorsports competing in select events. He finished the season with 3 top 5s, 6 top 10s and finished 5th in Championship Points in only 11 starts.
2023 - Joey ran a limited schedule in 2023 making only three starts in the ARCA West Series but managed two top-five finishes of 4th and 3rd and a 25th due to a mechanical failure.
2024 - In a limited 2024 schedule, Joey finished 13th among nearly 80 drivers that took part in the inaugural season of the zMAX CARS Tour West Pro Late Model Series, despite running just four of the 10 races on the schedule. He picked up a win in just his second series race, going to victory lane at California's Irwindale Speedway.
Joey also ranked among the top 25 in the highly-competitive California Region of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, as well as among the top half of more than 1,000 Weekly Series drivers that earned points in the national standings during the 2024 season.
2025 - Joey got off to a great start winning the season opener at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway in the Spears CARS Tour West Series. Joey also had a 4th place at All American Speedway and top 5 finish in the at Madera Speedway in the ARCA Menards Racing Series
