People have forgotten how to tell a story. Stories don’t have a middle or an end any more. They usually have a beginning that never stops beginning. That’s the reason I’ve made cinema my life’s work. In films, painting and literature, theatre and music come together. But a film is still a film. I just want to tell good stories in ways that will shine a light on lives rarely seen on screen, because stories can push humanity forward.
