Otselic Valley students joined their peers from across the region at the Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Otsego BOCES Senior Showcase, held May 28 at the Alan D. Pole Campus.
The annual event provides Career and Technical Education (CTE) students with an opportunity to present projects and accomplishments that reflect the skills, knowledge, and experiences they have gained throughout their programs. Students spend months developing their projects and preparing presentations that showcase their learning and career readiness. This year's Otselic Valley participants represented a variety of CTE programs, including Automotive Technology, Barbering, Computer Technology, Conservation and Heavy Equipment, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, New Visions Allied Health, Nurse Assisting, and Welding Technology. Board of Education President Dave Cruikshank and Superintendent Brian Collier attended the showcase to support students and learn more about their projects. The event also provided an opportunity to reconnect with several Otselic Valley alumni who have continued their education and careers in related fields.
Otselic Valley students participating in CTE programs this year include: • Jacob Depew – Automotive Technology • Dustin Perry – Automotive Technology • ShayLynn Dutcher – Barbering • Gage Foster – Computer Technology • Carter Parker – Conservation and Heavy Equipment • Brianna Patterson – Conservation and Heavy Equipment • Addison Beeman – Cosmetology • Miranda Hackett – Culinary Arts • Eric Rawson Jr. – Culinary Arts • Lilly Palmer – Early Childhood Education • Adrian Spear – New Vision Allied Health • Mariela Aguilar-Domingo – Nurse Assisting • James McCrady – Welding Technology
