Caring and Growing

Spring term, week 12

We are on to week two of looking after the ducklings, and they have grown so much! The children have taken responsibility for feeding them, providing water, cleaning them out, cuddling them, and even helping to teach them to swim.

Happy times with the ducklings.

It’s not just the ducklings that have kept us busy. Our tadpoles are now huge and will be developing legs any day soon. We feed them every day and change the water weekly. We also have to remember to keep our range of plants watered. Lots of big responsibilities.

Caring for living things.

In our forest school area this week, we used the space for some physical activity, chasing balloons as they caught on the breeze. It turns out grass isn’t great for balloons, and lots kept popping, so we continued the activity indoors.

Miss Davison helped the children put on a little animal dancing show on Thursday.

Thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend our reading session this week, and for helping the children to handle the ducks. Happy Easter holidays, everyone!
