Keenan Woods '12, '15 was recognized as a Heritage Hero during Black Heritage Month. Woods is currently site director for Coastal Bend College in Kingsville. He chose a quote from Dr. Margaret J. Wheatley, "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."

In May, Karl Gibson II '21, '24 graduated with his Master of Science degree in Animal Science. Gibson is now thriving in Corpus Christi at Incarnate Word Academy as a science teacher and coach. We love to see it!

Dr. Catherine Ming Tu, Associate Professor of Music Education, congratulates Jewelie Lujan (right) as the first recipient of the Peter and MeiMei Tang scholarship in September. Dr. Tu started the scholarship to honor the legacy of her mentors.
Every wedding is special but when Javelina Nation brings a couple together, we get especially teary-eyed. This October, Monica Hysquierdo '18, '24 led the ceremony as Sarah Ramos '19, '21 and Oscar Lara '20, '23 exchanged their vows. As of the end of this year, the three hold SEVEN Javelina degrees between them. Congrats Oscar & Sarah Lara!
